In BMS, small A-delta cool fibers may be preferentially impaired. Under normal conditions, A-delta fibers exert inhibitory control over C nociceptors. When this inhibition is lost, persistent burning pain may emerge. Placebos Trick the Mind, Not Body - Audio Only. The video "The Power of Placebo" begins at 15:45 A few years ago, I pulled several articles from PubMed and Cochrane Reviews on the placebo effect simply out of curiosity. After reading them, I wrote a few blog posts in Japanese summarizing what I had learned. Until recently, I hadn’t really made much use of NotebookLM. Today, however, I asked it to generate an Audio Overview based on one Cochrane review along with several papers by Kaptchuk, and I was genuinely impressed by the result. It was easy to follow, provided a well-structured 15-minute summary, and took only a few minutes to generate. I honestly wish I had access to something like this when I was a resident. I could have generated dozens of these and listened to them while driving, rather than singing at the top of my lungs the whole time. I also asked NotebookLM to generate a Video Overview. It took a little longer than generating the Audio Overview, for a five-minute video, but it was still impressive. Personally, I prefer the quality of the Audio Overview compared to the Video, but I’d love to hear what you think. Take a look at the video and let me know your thoughts. The first 15 minutes are audio-only, and the final five minutes include video as well.
